Pin Up Style Photo Session!

I decided a few weeks ago to add pin up style photo sessions to my portfolio, so I asked two friends to be models (Becky Roberts and Samantha Price) and put the word out. Within minutes I had local businesses offering their services and products to help out with the shoot. It was loads of fun! The hair styles featured in the images were created by Michelle Woodfield and the make up by Amorio Cosmestics. As I go along with the following images I will point out different props or outfits that other local businesses lent for the session.

The first images we created featured a 1960s traditional woman's bike from The Bike Shop, Glebe street Penarth. The flowers here were kindly offered from The Lily Pad Florist. The red dress seen in the top picture is available to purchase from Alley Cat Ink Tattoo

These next two images are personal favourites of mine. Both of the dresses are available to purchase from Alley Cat Ink Tattoo, the bar stool was kindly lent to me by my sister and the vintage phone which just MAKES this shot has a little story of its own. My partner's father demolished a bakery some 40 years ago in Cardiff to make way for their family building merchants business and he was so fond of the phone he kept it all these years.

More flowers here from The Lily Pad Florist. Not really sure what I was thinking when I composed these images just thought it would be a cute idea and I had a little pink galvanised watering can so what the heck!?!

So who loved the cupcake photos? These cupcakes are from The Forget-Me-Not Cake Co.  If you haven't already guessed, Becky is wearing her birthday suit under that apron which can be purchased from Barbara Boo. The little vintage table I picked up for £15 from The Curiosity Shop in Barry.

I love this vintage housewife image. I picked this metal galvanised bin up for £15 at The Curiosity Shop in Barry.

Don't you just love this red backdrop? This Parasol can be purchased from Barbara Boo.

And finally, here is my blue backdrop, the dresses in the bottom picture are again the same ones from Alley Cat Ink Tattoo. The suitcase was borrowed from my sister, vintage suitcases are hard to come buy or really expensive!
